Her story

In life and art, Elizabeth loves two things, the creative process and problem solving.  She says, “It’s what makes life interesting and challenging.  Art making is all about problem solving and finding solutions.”

Elizabeth is a visual artist living in the Fraser Valley of BC with roots in southwestern Ontario.  She moved to the Greater Vancouver area via Thunder Bay Ontario and exchanged her snow shovel for an umbrella.  Shortly after arriving she first worked in a program for children with autistic tendencies.

Next she found a position with the Province of BC working with children and families at risk. She found the work to be challenging and rewarding. It was after this work experience that Elizabeth went back to school.

Elizabeth found her true passion while studying psychology at SFU. She took a risk by auditioning for the dance program. A very exciting adventure had begun when she was accepted.

Much later Elizabeth fell in love with oil painting at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where she earned her BA in Visual Fine Arts.

Elizabeth has shown her work in juried and group gallery exhibits including the Surrey, Richmond and Seymour galleries.  She has been an active member the Fort Gallery Collective.   She has fun teaching art to children and adults at the local community centre.

Her journey from an emergent to an established artist is truly an exciting one.
